At this time, this one is local pickup only, unless you have your own prepaid shipping company and pay me to take it there as noted below. Even in my 33rd year in the international mail order business, shipping is too difficult now to spend a week or a month or more trying to ship one of these piss money items. I wasted much of a month trying to ship a $14,000 music system, which is regrettable but a core part of my business and involving a great deal of money, but I also wasted more than one week shipping a $150 rack flight case for a thankless eBay customer, followed by two more thankless eBay flight case customers, one a local pickup buyer with absolutely no plan to make the pickup who made me wait five weeks. This case is over the weight and dimensional limit of the two easy shipping options I have (one of which would have done this for most of the last 32 years I’ve used them but during this fake pandemic they cut the maximum weight to 100 pounds, and even refused me once at 102 pounds). So at this time, this one is local pickup only. Local pickup in L.A. (the Los Feliz district of Los Angeles or near Glendale where it’s temporarily stored) only. If someone wants to have it shipped on their own freight account, presumably that terminal is somewhere in the LAX area, I will deliver it to your shipping company there on the company truck for a flat $48, or Long Beach $58. If you could get FedEx to take it, it’s much closer, I’d truck it there for $20, but you need to make SURE that they WILL take it at this size (27″W x 30.75″D x 46.5″H including lids and wheels and probably just under 200 lbs, and I don’t think they will take it as Ground or Home) and that it’s prepaid on your account. I have shipped large items that way with FedEx Ground in the far past and incurred the super duper oversize surcharges, but the billing amount was unknown until after it was done and on my account. If you want me to drop to these companies, tell me in advance and I’ll add it to the item price BEFORE you buy. Just ask and I’ll tell you if it’s possible and how much. ————————————————————————————– The exact dimensions of this case: 27″W x 30.75″D x 46.5″H (w/casters, 41″ without) (27″W x 30.75″D x 46.5″H is including lids and wheels) probably just under 200 lbs (estimate) 12U of space/21″ of rails in top section 22″ deep in the rail section has lower space without rails that is 12″H x 25.25″W not including the foam padding, or 8″ x 21″ w/the existing 2″ foam, this was made and briefly use for an Apple computer (I think an Intel Mac Pro tower) but it could fit a 7U rack item and rack rails could be added to do that, or you could build a 12″H x 25.25″W wooden drawer to put below and use as a workbox with rack this black case has a graphite cloth texture to it unlike any others in stock has a Hubbell AC inlet on the side in truly excellent condition (it was barely used for recording live events) This auction has three pieces included, 1) the main case, 2) the front protective lid, 3) the rear protective lid. It includes 12U rack rails in the front. ————————————————————————————– This shock rack flight case rack was custom made by Jan-Al (in Los Angeles, the professional’s choice, other brands are equally good or better at times, but not consistently so, and some brands got better over time, Jan-Al is TWICE as good as Anvil brand). This was used at Synhouse to store some of my collection items for years, that gear shown is not included but the power strip is included, that gear was moved to my much larger cases (I have seven massive doublewide racks) so I can sell this now. All latches and other case hardware is PERFECT. This has four swivel Colson casters on it, and all four casters are in perfect cosmetic and working condition. These are the gray rubber type that never seem to fail, there is no polyurethane wheel to chip off or get old and gooey (I just experienced 20-30 of those in one week moving a dozen Anvil brand cases). The front and rear protective lids are included and all the latches work properly and are in perfect condition. The plated steel rounded ball corners (that are required by the ATA specification, if someone says ATA and the corners are square, it isn’t) are in perfect condition. It has 12U of rack space with high quality 10-32 tapped (the standard) black rack rails in the front. The casters are excellent and have barely been rolled around at all. It rolls like a dream and it has only been sitting in the garage (and more recently storage) loaded with audio and drum/synth gear, and with cardboard pads covering the top to avoid scratches. I have a VAST stock of flight case hardware, case parts, casters, etc., and a lot of skill and experience doing modifications and repairs with those items (I think I made 6 AWESOME custom rolling dollies in the first six months of lockdown alone, you can see the last of those on the left in the Synclavier photo in the photo gallery of some of my other flight case auctions), so I can make custom caster/dolly bases for cases that don’t have casters, etc., as needed.
