Vintage Original 2000 O.S. MAX 12CV-R Side Exhaust Nitro Racing Engine with 10E-Rotary Carburetor Description *This listing is for a long discontinued and extremely rare Vintage Original 2000 O.S. MAX 12CV-R Side Exhaust Nitro Racing Engine with 10E-Rotary Carburetor. ***Please read through entire description of engines before making your purchase(s).*** Single piece aluminum engine mount is only for propping up the engine and is NOT INCLUDED with this listing. *This awesome OS-MAX 12CV-R was installed and ran for two seasons mainly on the weekends. I can barely turn it over by turning the crankshaft (no flywheel but with a glowplug) with my bare hand. The blue heatsink head does have a slight scuff on top of it so please be aware of that. There is pitting on the piston and the under head due to the use of a long glowplug and too much compression (didn’t use any shims). Piston most likely can be sanded down to improve overall performance. The sleeve does have some light scars but this engine still runs strong and responsive. There are also some light rust marks mainly on the crankshaft that should be removed before racing. These OS-MAX engines do withstand the test of time as it is over 20+ years old now. Worst case scenario is getting these old engines re-pinched and they will require to be re-broken in and run like brand new again. Don’t think that would be necessary with this very engine though. Will require glow plug and air filter, side exhaust manifold/header. These 10E rotary carb, standard crankshaft, and side exhaust engines are almost impossible to hard to find nowadays! Awesome small block engine with big 2.11cc of displacement, (Claimed) 1.3bhp at 30,000RPMs, and practical RPMs ranging from 4,000-38,000! Super reliable and easy to tune! *These certainly don’t come around often as they have been discontinued so take advantage of this. Shop here and SAVE BIG! No bogus sales-promotions here folks!
