For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Montegrappa CHAOS Limited Edition 394 of 1000 Fountain Pen designed by Sylvester Stallone fitted with an 18K Medium nib. This fountain pen is in Mint, Never Inked Condition – considered New Old Stock with all the original boxes and documentation/literature. The first pen in the Cult series was designed by Sylvester Stallone in 2010. Sylvester Stallone’s Chaos Fountain Pen, The Expendables movie inspired, is fashioned from precious materials and produced in limited numbers. The body of the pen is made of black pearlized celluloid with sterling silver overlay and enameled in reds and yellows – the colors of fire. The juxtaposition of life and death characterizes the design; the former is represented by the early forms of life on Earth: reptiles (such as snakes and lizards) and the latter by the skull. The ultimate defining detail, bearing both a fist and a skull, is the pen’s clip in the form of a sword. The pen is in perfect condition with it never being used. The cap and barrel have extremely detailed Sterling Silver and Enameled overlay that are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, scratches, dings, dents, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. In the section, when the barrel is unscrewed, one will see the “Montegrappa” company name on the silver ring. On the bottom cap ring and bottom of the barrel ring, it is stamped with “ITALY and 925 with *2750V”. The top of the cap is stamped with, “MONTEGRAPPA ITALIA” and the bottom of the barrel is marked with the limited edition number 394/1000. This fountain pen measures 5 5/8″ inches capped and 7″ inches posted. The pen weighs a whopping 4.75 ounces, it is one of the heaviest pens I ever held. The fountain pen uses a piston filling system. I have tested the piston filler with water and works as it is designed. The 18K Gold nib is designated “MEDIUM” and displays the “SKULL, 18K, MONTEGRAPPA hallmarks” on the nib. The iridium tipping measures .83mm when measuring with digital calipers, which falls into the range of Medium the nib is designated. This fountain pen has never been inked and wanted to leave it that way for the next collector. This fountain pen comes in the original Montegrappa Chaos factory boxes and Literature/Documentation booklets. The Montegrappa Chaos Limited Edition Fountain Pen, inspired by The Expendables movie and designed with Stallone, is a highly detailed and spectacular writing instrument. One is the high-cachet Montgrappa examples that will for sure be the highlight of your Montegrapps writing arsenal collection!
