The Taufschein says, “Geburts und Taufschein – Denbeiden Ehegatten, als: Jacob Licht und seiner ehelichen hausfrau Lydia eine geborne Zinn ist ein Sohn zur Welt geboren, den 8th August im Jahre unsers Herrn 1843. Dieser Sohn wurde geboren in Süd Libanon Tsp. Libanon County, im Staate Pennsylvania in Nord-america und wurde getauft und erhielt den Namen Georg Licht am im Jahre unsers Herrn 18__ von Herrn ____ – Die Taufzeugen waren: ____.” This roughly translates to, “Birth and Baptism Certificate – The two spouses, namely: Jacob Licht and his marital spouse Lydia originally born (née) Zinn is a son into the world born, on August 8th in the year of our Lord 1843.
