The Daruma motif was chosen to link the spirit of G-SHOCK’s NEVER GIVE UP identity with the image of Daruma’s falling seven times, getting up eight times prosperity. The DW-6900 and GM-6900 models, with their trademark front button and three eyes, were used as the base model. This time, the face of Daruma is expressed in gold, a symbol of affluence, on the entire face. The band is decorated with a Daruma print. The design motif of Daruma and its packaging were designed by “BlackEyePatch”, a Tokyo-based label that uses a variety of techniques from graffiti to apparel.
